1. The service
Zellap provides ready-made websites with booking, payment, and content on your own domain, along with the tools you use to run your business in the accompanying admin panel. Which features you have access to depends on the plan and add-ons you've chosen.
2. Account
You're responsible for providing accurate information and for keeping your login secure. You're responsible for activity that happens on your account. Let us know at account@zellap.com if you think your account has been misused.
3. Subscription and payment
The service is sold as an ongoing subscription at the price and interval shown at purchase. Payment is taken in advance via Stripe. The subscription renews automatically for a new period until it's cancelled. Prices may be adjusted, and we'll give you advance notice before a change takes effect.
All prices we quote are in Norwegian kroner, excluding VAT. VAT is added on top and applied at checkout at the applicable rate. Before you confirm your purchase you'll see the amount with VAT specified, and the same amount appears on the invoice.
3.1 Equipment plan (12-month commitment)
There are two ways to take out the subscription. A rolling agreement has no minimum term. An equipment plan commits you for 12 months, and the equipment is then included without you paying for it up front.
The commitment is optional, and it costs nothing extra: the monthly price is the same on both agreements. Committing earns no discount either. What separates them is the equipment and the term, not the price.
Choose the rolling agreement and you get the same service with no minimum term, but without equipment: you supply the tablet yourself, and you rent or buy a card terminal under clause 5.
This is what the equipment plan includes: 1 tablet and 1 card terminal, both at no cost up front. The equipment is Zellap's property for as long as the commitment runs. A second card terminal, and any beyond it, is rented under clause 5, whichever of the two agreements you are on.
Bindingen løper fra den dagen vi bestiller utstyret ditt hos leverandøren. Du ser datoen i dashbordet så snart bestillingen er lagt inn.
The date is set once and never changed afterwards. If the order with the supplier is cancelled before the equipment ships, the commitment falls away and the start date is reset. You then have no minimum term for equipment that never arrived.
Once the 12 months are paid, ownership of both the tablet and the card terminal passes to you at no further cost. You then have nothing to return and no remaining obligation for the equipment.
3.2 If you end the commitment early
If you end the agreement before the 12 months are complete, the equipment either comes back to us or is bought out. The choice between the two is yours.
The residual value depends on how many months of the commitment are complete, counted from the start date above. The exact amount is shown in your dashboard, and you see it before you confirm the cancellation.
If the equipment isn't returned within the 14-day deadline, the card terminal is invoiced at 7 990 kr eks. mva and the tablet at 5 990 kr eks. mva. Both are then yours. What working condition means on return is set out in clause 5.1 and in the terminal terms, and applies to the tablet in the same way.
The fee and the buy-out prices in this clause apply solely to the equipment plan, and only when the commitment ends early. On a rolling agreement they can never apply.
This clause does not change the right of withdrawal. The agreement is entered into between two businesses, so the statutory right of withdrawal doesn't apply — see clause 5.3. A minimum term is not a cooling-off period: there is no window in which you can walk away without reason and without settlement, either before or after the equipment is ordered. If you cancel, the clause above applies.
4. Payments from your own customers
If you turn on payments, your customers can pay you directly through the website. Payments go through a payment provider — Mollie or Stripe — on your own connected account with that provider. Which one you're set up with is agreed at onboarding, and you'll see it in the dashboard.
- You're the seller. The money goes to your account. Whatever fees the provider itself charges, and who bears them, follows from the agreement between you and the provider. That isn't regulated here.
- Platform fee. Zellap deducts a platform fee from every transaction, at the rate that applies to you. The fee is deducted from the amount and is never shown as a separate charge to your customer. See clause 5.2.
- Refunds and chargebacks. You're responsible for refunds and for chargeback claims from your own customers. Zellap is not a party to the purchase between you and your customer.
- Verification. The provider vets your business as part of their own onboarding, and marks the account itself once it can receive payments. We don't create any payment to your account before that mark is set. We can't guarantee that a provider will approve every account.
- Payment methods. Which payment methods you can offer depends on the provider and on what's enabled on your account. On Mollie, card payment, Vipps, and Riverty are offered; Vipps requires you to have your own agreement with Vipps MobilePay, and to send us the agreement number so we can register it on your account. On Stripe, card payment is offered. We're not a party to your agreement with Vipps MobilePay.
- This clause applies only to your own sales. Your own subscription with Zellap is paid via Stripe — see clause 3.
If you haven't connected your own account with one of the providers, no customer payment is accepted under this clause.
5. Card terminal
If you get a card terminal through us, there are three routes: it comes with the equipment plan under clause 3.1, or you rent it, or you buy it. All three give you the same terminal. What differs is what you pay and who owns the equipment.
- Included in the 12-month agreement. Choose the equipment plan under clause 3.1 and 1 card terminal is included without you paying for it up front. It remains Zellap's property while the commitment runs. Once the 12 months are paid, ownership transfers to you at no further cost, and you have nothing to return. If you end the commitment early, clauses 3.2 and 5.1 apply.
- Rental, 299 kr per month eks. mva per terminal. Same price for the first terminal and for every terminal after it. No minimum term: you cancel whenever you like, and the rental stops at the end of the current paid period. The terminal remains Zellap's property for as long as you rent it, and must be returned within 14 days. We cover shipping. No fee applies. If the terminal isn't returned, it's invoiced as compensation for the equipment at 4 990 kr eks. mva, and it's then yours.
- Purchase, 4 990 kr eks. mva. Paid once at order. The terminal is yours from delivery. No minimum term, no obligation to return it, no fee.
When the commitment starts running is set out in clause 3.1. The date is set once and never changed afterwards.
5.1 The card terminal when the commitment ends early
This clause covers the card terminal alone. The full settlement for the equipment, tablet included, is set out in clause 3.2.
For the terminal there are two possible outcomes, and which one applies depends on whether it comes back.
- You return the terminal. If it's returned in working condition within 14 days, you pay a fee of 1 000 kr eks. mva. Zellap covers shipping. Nothing further is added.
- You keep the terminal. It's then invoiced at 7 990 kr eks. mva, and is yours. It can be used with a different provider afterwards.
Remaining subscription months aren't invoiced. The subscription runs out the current paid period and stops there.
The return fee and the buy-out price above apply solely to the card terminal included with the equipment plan, and only when the commitment ends early. If you rent or buy the terminal, they can never apply.
Working condition means the terminal turns on, charges, accepts cards, and has a working screen and keypad, and that it's returned complete with charger and any docking station. Normal wear from use is accepted. A cracked screen, liquid damage, a broken seal, and missing parts are not normal wear, and a terminal in that condition counts as not returned.
Additional terminals always follow the rental terms, regardless of how the first terminal was obtained. They're always Zellap's property and never become yours.
5.2 Transaction fee
Zellap takes a platform fee from every payment made through the terminal or the website. The fee goes to Zellap in full, is deducted from the amount at settlement, and is never shown as a separate charge to your customer.
The rate that applies to you is stated in your agreement and on your invoice. We don't quote a fixed rate here: it's agreed per customer and can depend on the payment method, card type, and where the payment takes place. The prices shown on our website are indicative until something else is agreed with you in writing.
Card acquiring and payment processing come on top. Payments are set up on your own account with the payment provider — Stripe or Mollie, depending on your setup — and the provider invoices you directly at its own, then-current rates. Zellap is not a party to that relationship, receives no part of that amount, and can't guarantee the provider's rates or any changes to them.
Satsen settes aldri opp uten skriftlig varsel 30 dager i forveien. Sier du opp innen fristen, gjelder den gamle satsen ut oppsigelsen.
5.3 Right of withdrawal
This agreement is entered into between two businesses, so the statutory right of withdrawal doesn't apply.
The complete terms for the terminal are set out in the terminal terms.
6. SEO and visibility
The website automatically gets titles, descriptions, structured data, a sitemap, and indexing rules derived from your own content. This is included on every plan.
With the Managed SEO add-on, Zellap optimises the website on your behalf, including creating and editing titles, meta descriptions, structured data, and local pages. Turning on the add-on gives us authority to make such changes for this purpose. The content remains yours.
We can't guarantee specific rankings, traffic volumes, or mentions in search results or with AI services. Search engines and AI services are independent third parties outside our control, and this work is delivered on a best-effort basis.
Public pages are indexed by search engines and may be retrieved by AI assistants. You can turn off AI access per website. Processing of personal data in such use is governed by the data processing agreement.
Once your domain goes live, we also set up traffic measurement on the public pages in our own Google Analytics account. It's ours, not yours: we use it to see how the websites we deliver are performing. It counts page views, not people — no names, contact details, orders, checkout data, or payment data — and loads nothing until the visitor has consented to statistics. Your dashboard isn't counted. Your own Google Analytics ID, if you add one, is yours alone. See clause 3e of the data processing agreement.
7. Quotes
If you've received a quote from us by email, it's a quote, not an agreement. The agreement is only formed once you complete the purchase. A quote is valid until the date stated in it.
Marketing we send by email always includes an unsubscribe link. How we process information about businesses we contact is described in the privacy policy.
8. Cancellation
You can cancel the subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and any period already paid for is non-refundable, unless mandatory law says otherwise. On termination, we make your data available for export or deletion as described in the data processing agreement.
If you have a card terminal from us, settlement and any obligation to return it follow clause 5.
9. Domain
Zellap covers the cost of one Norwegian .no domain for as long as the subscription is active, renewal included. The regular price for a .no domain is 199 kr per year eks. mva. Other top-level domains, such as .com, can be purchased for a one-time surcharge shown and charged at order.
You're the registered owner (registrant) of the domain. Domains purchased through us are registered via our registrar, Realtime Register, and for .no with Norid. Norid requires the registrant to be identified by an organisation number, and it's your business that's listed there, not Zellap. We administer the domain technically on your behalf while the agreement runs. The domain is yours.
If you cancel, or payment fails, Zellap stops covering and renewing the domain at the end of the period. If you want to keep the domain, you take it over yourself. Manual transfer to your own registrar or account costs a one-time fee of 1,000 kr. If you don't take over the domain, it expires. An expired domain can be registered by someone else, and .no domains are released quickly. Zellap is not liable for any loss resulting from a domain expiring after the agreement has ended.
Zellap may decline to cover or renew a domain that's used unlawfully or in breach of Norid's or the registrar's terms. You're responsible for ensuring your use of the domain is lawful. Whether a particular domain is available depends on the registry and can't be guaranteed.
10. Your responsibility as a customer
You're responsible for the content you publish, and for ensuring your use is lawful. If you run a website with your own end users, you're the data controller for their personal data, and the data processing agreement governs Zellap's role as data processor.
11. Ownership
Your content and data belong to you. Zellap retains the rights to the platform, the code, and the underlying systems that deliver the service.
12. Availability
We aim for high uptime, but the service is delivered "as is". We can't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may carry out necessary maintenance. Any agreed service level beyond this applies only where expressly agreed in writing.
13. Liability
Zellap's total liability is limited to what you've paid for the service over the past twelve months. We're not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit, loss of data, or business interruption, to the extent permitted by law.
14. Privacy
How we process personal data is described in the privacy policy, and our use of cookies in the cookie policy.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service or the regulatory landscape changes. We'll notify you of material changes. Continued use after a change takes effect counts as acceptance.
16. Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes will first be sought resolved amicably, and otherwise fall under the Norwegian courts.
17. Gift cards
If you sell gift cards through Zellap, you are the issuer. The card is a claim your customer holds against you, not against Zellap, and you're the one liable to honour it — even if your subscription ends. Zellap is the tool that issues the code, holds the balance, and sends the card by email.
You set the validity period yourself. You're responsible for ensuring it's lawful towards the buyer and recipient, and that your terms of sale comply with the right-of-withdrawal act and the limitation act. We enforce what you've set — we don't check it.
A gift card with a balance or transaction history can't be deleted from the system, only invalidated. That follows from the card being a monetary claim, and from bookkeeping obligations.
18. Zellie, the AI assistant in the admin panel
Zellie is an AI assistant in the admin panel. Where the feature is available to you, this clause applies.
- What Zellie is. Zellie answers questions about how to use the service, points you to the right page, and suggests changes that you confirm yourself. Zellie is help with finding your way and taking the last step, not advice. It doesn't give legal, accounting, tax, health, or other professional advice, and shouldn't be used as the basis for such judgements.
- Answers can be wrong. Zellie is built on a language model and can get things wrong, misunderstand your question, or suggest something that doesn't fit your situation. Always check a suggestion before you confirm it. You're responsible for the changes you confirm, and for how they affect your business and your own customers.
- Nothing happens without your confirmation. Zellie never changes anything on its own. It shows a suggestion, and the change is only carried out once you click Bekreft (Confirm). It's carried out under your own login and your own permissions, and Zellie can't do anything you couldn't do yourself in the admin panel.
- Usage limit. Zellie is subject to a usage limit that follows your plan, corresponding to AI assistance worth 300 kr a month. If the limit is reached, Zellie will say so in the chat and let you know when it's available again. The usage limit is a limit on use of the feature, not an amount billed to you or that can be paid out in any other way.
- Your own customers' information. Names, email addresses, phone numbers, notes, and message content about your own customers are not sent to Zellie unless that individual customer has consented. Without consent, Zellie only sees aggregated figures and opaque references. This processing is governed by the data processing agreement, and you're the data controller for your own customers' information.
- The feature may change. Zellie is under continuous development. We may change, limit, or withdraw the feature, including if a provider we depend on changes its terms. Zellie is not a guaranteed part of your plan, and a change to it doesn't entitle you to a price reduction.
- Misuse. Zellie is intended for you and your employees in your own operations. Automated use (scripts, bots, or bulk lookups), reselling or sharing access with other businesses, and attempts to circumvent the usage limit are breaches of these terms. In the event of a breach, we may limit or close access to Zellie without this entitling you to a price reduction.
