1. How to get a terminal
You choose which way to go. They all give you the same terminal and the same functionality. What differs is what you pay and who owns the equipment.
- Lei den: 0 kr up front, 299 kr per month eks. mva. No minimum term. Terminalen forblir Zellaps, og sendes tilbake når abonnementet stopper. You must return the terminal when the agreement ends. No fee for cancelling.
- Følger med i 12 måneders avtale: 0 kr up front eks. mva. Minimum term 12 months. Fra den dagen vi bestiller utstyret ditt. Nettbrettet og terminalen er dine etter 12 måneder, uten videre betaling. If you cancel before the minimum term is up, point 2 applies.
- Kjøp den: 4 990 kr up front eks. mva. No minimum term. Din fra dag én. No obligation to return it. No fee for cancelling.
The points below go into detail on each option. The monthly price for the Zellap subscription itself comes on top, and is the same no matter which way you choose.
2. Minimum term (12-month equipment plan)
This option is part of the equipment plan, set out in the terms, point 3.1. That is where you'll find what the plan includes, that the minimum term is optional, and that the monthly price is the same as on a rolling agreement. This point covers the card terminal's part of it.
With a 12-month minimum term, 1 card terminal is included without you paying for it up front. The terminal has no separate rental price during the term: it's covered by the subscription. A second terminal, and any beyond it, is rented under point 3 and point 7.
Bindingen løper fra den dagen vi bestiller utstyret ditt hos leverandøren. Du ser datoen i dashbordet så snart bestillingen er lagt inn.
The date is set once and never changes afterwards. If the order with the supplier is cancelled before the terminal ships, the minimum term falls away and the start date resets. You then have no minimum term for equipment that never arrived.
The terminal remains Zellap's property until the minimum term is complete. Once the 12 months are paid, ownership passes to you with no further payment. At that point the terminal is yours, and you have no obligation to return it.
2.1 If you cancel before the minimum term is up
This point covers the card terminal alone. The equipment plan also includes a tablet, and the full settlement — both devices, one return shipment and one fee — is set out in the terms, point 3.2.
For the terminal there are two possible outcomes, and which one applies comes down to one thing: whether it comes back.
- You return the terminal. If it comes back in working condition within 14 days, you pay a fee of 1 000 kr eks. mva. Zellap covers the shipping. Nothing more is added on top.
- You keep the terminal. It's then invoiced at 7 990 kr eks. mva. The terminal is yours at that point, and can go on being used with another provider.
Remaining subscription months aren't invoiced. The subscription runs out the current paid period and stops there. There's no outstanding claim for months you don't use.
3. Rental
Renting costs 299 kr per month eks. mva per terminal. The price is the same for the first terminal and every one after it.
Rental has no minimum term. You can cancel any time, and the rental stops at the end of the current paid period. If you cancel the subscription, the rental stops too, and the terminal must be returned under the rules below.
A rented terminal is and remains Zellap's property. Ownership never passes to you, no matter how long you've rented it. The terminal must be returned within 14 days after the rental stops, and Zellap covers the shipping.
No fee applies when you end the rental. If the terminal doesn't come back, it's invoiced as compensation for the equipment at 4 990 kr eks. mva, and it's then yours.
4. Purchase
You can buy the terminal for 4 990 kr eks. mva, paid once at the time of ordering. The terminal is yours from delivery. There's no minimum term, no obligation to return it, and no fee, either ongoing or when you cancel the subscription.
5. The fees apply only to the minimum-term agreement
The 1 000 kr fee and the 7 990 kr buyout price apply solely to terminals obtained through the minimum-term agreement, and only when that term ends early. If you rent or buy the terminal, they can never apply.
6. Returns
This point applies to terminals you're obliged to return, meaning rented terminals and terminals within an ongoing minimum term.
The deadline is 14 days from the date the agreement ends. We'll send you a shipping label and address, and we pay for shipping. The return counts as complete once the terminal has been received and checked by us.
Working condition means the terminal turns on, charges, takes card payments, and has a working screen and keypad, and that it comes back complete with its charger and any docking station. Normal wear and tear is fine: scratches, worn keys, and a scuffed case don't cost extra. A cracked screen, liquid damage, a broken seal, and missing parts aren't normal wear, and a terminal in that condition counts as not returned.
If the terminal doesn't arrive within the deadline, it's invoiced under the rules for however it was obtained. If it arrives later anyway in working condition, we'll credit the amount, less the return fee where that applies.
7. Additional terminals
If you need more terminals, they always follow the rental terms in point 3, no matter how the first terminal was obtained. They're always Zellap's property, always come with an obligation to return them, and never become yours.
The equipment plan covers 1 card terminal. If you have two, you rent the second under point 3. On a rolling agreement you rent or buy every terminal, the first one included.
8. Transaction fee
Zellap takes a platform fee from every payment made through the terminal or the website. The fee goes to Zellap in full, is deducted from the amount at settlement, and never shows up as a surcharge to your customer. The rate is the same no matter how the terminal was obtained.
The rate that applies to you is stated in your agreement and on the invoice. We don't quote a fixed rate here: it's agreed per customer and can depend on payment method, card type, and where the payment takes place. Rates shown on our website are indicative until something else is agreed with you in writing. All rates are eks. mva.
9. Card acquiring and payment provider
Card acquiring and payment processing come on top of the platform fee and aren't covered by it. Payments are set up on your own account with the payment provider — Stripe or Mollie, depending on your setup — and the provider invoices you directly at their own rates, in force from time to time.
Zellap isn't party to that relationship and receives no part of that amount. We can't guarantee the provider's rates, terms, or changes to them, and their rates can vary between payment methods, card types, and over time.

10. Right of withdrawal
The agreement is entered into between two businesses, so the Right of Withdrawal Act doesn't apply.
11. Relationship to the general terms
Everything else is governed by the general terms. Where they conflict, these terminal terms take precedence for what they cover.
